Brother-Sister Quilts-Leaflet No. 14

By Edith B. Crumb.

Here is the last little girl for your Sister quilt and her name is Ivy. She has a pale green pinafore, blue guimpe and dotted blue and white collar and cuffs.

Her hair is brown, so are her shoes. Her socks are pale green. The soles of her shoes are orange. Her hair ribbon is green, her hair brown and her face, neck, arms and legs are sun tan. Her nose is faintly pink while her lips are red and her eyes brown. The features may be embroidered with color fast embroidery cotton.

When the different parts are ready to applique this is the order in which they go together. First, place the face, then the right arm and the legs, then the guimpe, then right cuff, the dress, the other arm and cuff.

Then the socks, left sole and shoe. The other shoe and sole. The collar goes on next and lastly the hair ribbon and the embroidered features. Two of these blocks should be made.

Now comes the piecing of the entire body of the quilt. The first two rows have been pieced and are described in Leaflet No. 8.

The third row is in this order: fourth doll, polka dot square at right, fifth doll at right of polka dot, polka dot at right of fifth doll, sixth doll at right of polka dot.

Fourth row - Polka dot, pram, polka dot, pram, polka dot.

Fifth row - Second doll, polka dot, first doll, polka dot, third doll.

Sixth row - Polka dot, pram, polka dot, pram, polka dot.

Seventh row and last row - Fifth doll, polka dot, fourth doll, polka dot, sixth doll.

Now the quilt is ready for all the borders which are described on Leaflet No. 1.
