Laurel Wreath Quilt - Leaflet No. 21
Violet

Here is the Violet with several possibilities for a color scheme. You may have a blue lavender, a yellow violet or a pinkish one; and this is such an easy flower to make that it is not necessary to go into detail. It is to be appliqued on a block, size 10 1/2 inches by 12 1/2 inches, and be sure that the stems stand in the same position as indicated in the small inserted block in the picture. You will notice that some turn to the right and some to the left if you will look through your leaflets. This is to give the effect of intertwining.

The small circular centerpiece may be yellow, plain material, and in selecting the material for the petals remember that this should be in a very find design - a small polka dot or very fine check being appropriate for this.
