Write for Reservations for Quilt Members' Play

By Edith B. Crumb
Quilt Club Corner Editor, The Detroit News

You have no idea how the cast for the play which will be given Friday, for members of the Quilt Club are working to have everything ready for you at promptly 2 p. m.

Instead of going to the lower level of the Studios WWJ-The Detroit News as you usually do, go right into the auditorium and be there early so you will be on time when the curtain goes up to show you the living room at Matilda Brown's.

There will be 10 of your Quilt Club Corner member friends in the play, but I doubt if you will recognize all of them They have planned some very special costumes about which they won't talk.

Phone For Tickets
And, if you have not already written for your ticket be sure to telephone Randolph 2000, Line 297 and make your reservation. The tickets will be held at the information desk on the first floor for you.

We heard that there are friends coming from Portland, Richmond, Marlette and many towns, so you will probably see many Cornerites you have not chatted with for a long time.
Be sure to bring along your knitting, patching, patches to swap and come to the lower level after the show. The players will hold a reception and be so happy to meet all of you. There will be time for every one to renew acquaintances and sew a little. It will be a real old-fashioned kind of get-together, and I am looking forward to seeing all of you.

Come Early
Here are last minute instructions - be sure to make your reservations, come early and plan to be with us in the lower lever after the play.

Goldie McClelland returned from her visit to her mother in Centraila, Ill., much sooner than she expected to; but she will be glad that she came back in time for the show, I am sure.

Wants More Material
Mrs. Helen Neibert, 8259 Rathone avenue, wishes to thank all who sent her birthday cards and patches. Now she has about 1,000 squares for her Steps to the Garden so she won't need any more two-inch squares but can always use more pieces. She likes to make quilts but doesn't have enought money to buy any material as she is only keeping house for her cousin to earn board for herself and her mother who is 88 years old.

Little Frances Bowyer (21731 Garrison avenue, Dearborn), has had her mother write us a letter to tell us all about the happy birthday cards, calls, patches and gifts and I am sure that all of you who remembered Frances will be glad that the day meant so much to her.
