Among the crocheted bed covers which will be included in The Detroit News Quilt Show, May 24, 25 and 26 there will be a brown and orange afghan made by the members of the Cosmopolitan Women's Club of Detroit, Handcraft Group No. 2

The women of this club, which represents 37 nationalities, having worked hard on this project. The afghan is to be sold to earn money for the Nancy Brown Peace Carillon.

Versatile Group
The 12 members of the handicraft group meets in the downtown YMCA every second Tuesday. When there is more work to be done than can be taken care of at this time, they meet at the homes of the members.

It is a versatile group, for, besides knitting, the members make quilts, crochet, tat and do all kinds of handicraft. The group has become particularly interested in afghan making, however. Each made several shells of the afghan pictured.

When the money for the material has been taken from the proceeds of the sale of the afghan, this group hopes to add $50 to the Carillon fund.
