All Set for Quilt Show
Mrs. Lavinia Lilley (left) and Mrs. Gabrielle Baecheroot are all ready for the Detroit News quilt show to be held May 24, 25, and 26 at the United States Naval Armory. Here are two of the quilts they are entering. Quilts and other entries for the show are being checked in this week at eh show headquarters 827 West Lafayette boulevard.

Cornerites Make Plans for Show
By Edith B. Crumb
Two Quilt Club members who scarcely ever miss a Friday meeting at Mrs. Lavina Lilley, 37296Fourth Avenue, and Mrs. Gabrielle Baecheroot, 3573 East Hancock Avenue. In the picture you see them with two of the quits, they plan to enter in the
big show.

Mrs. Lilley's quilt is a Double Wedding Ring. She still has to put the binding on it, but you may be sure she will have it done in plenty of time to enter it. She is an industrious quit maker and probably has a great number to enter in the show.
In First Year

Mrs. Baecheroot, too is always busy on quilts and she usually has one on the frames while she is piecing the top of another.
She is among the first to enter quilts in the very first show we had in 1933. Ever since we have always known that would not disappoint us and she isn't going to this year's either.

The quilt shown with her in the picture is a small one, having a cream background and conventional tulip design in many colored prints put together with lavender strips and finished with a pink border

Goldie McClellands coupon came to my desk today and I notice that she has seven entries listed and in a little note on the top she says that she may gather a couple more.

I wouldn't be surprised to see her come with 10 or 12 more, for when Goldie starts out to do anything she does it thoroughly. I know that I can depend on her to come through and do all possible to help make the show successful.
Bring Entries

The quilt rugs, spreads, and aprons are being received daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the quilt office, 827 West Lafayette boulevard. The office will be open for a limited time, so be sure to come as soon as you can.
In the meantime, please send in your coupons.
