Next Cornerite Meeting to be Held November 8

By Edith B. Crumb

Here we are about to start on our fifth year of Quilt Club meeting. But before we begin, there will be a vacation. While I am away on mine, you will have a holiday, and the next meeting which will be on the first of the new club year will be held on Friday, Nov. 9.

While I am away I hope ach of you will accomplish a lot of quilt making sewing, crocheting, and knitting.

And her is another thing you might do. How about calling on some of the invalid member, or sending cards to them?

A letter was received from Jean Frick saying that her mother Mrs. Edna Frick (whom you have all known for years) has been ill for eight weeks with a broken ankle and expects to be confined to her home for some time. Why not has a card shower for her? She is always so thoughtful of others who are ill.

Another member would appreciate having you call or send a card is Mrs. Willis Smith, 1006 Carmel Avenue. She broke her hip almost two months ago and is depending upon crutches, so it will be some time before she will be able to get out. She is very lonesome and would be happy to see or hear from you.

Don't forget the wiener roast which is to be held over at Belle Isle tonight. Mrs. Eva Schaub and Mrs. Henry C Reinhold started this and you are all asked to attend and bring your husbands and whole families. Bring what you wish to eat and the coffee will be made ready for you.
