Grandmother Clark's Authentic Early American Patchwork Quilts, Book No. 23

1932
Waldvogel Ephemera Collection; Waldvogel Archival Collection
St. Louis, Missouri, United States
This catalog is the third in a series offered by W. L. M. Clark Inc. of St. Louis. "Grandmother Clark" writes in the introduction, "The quilts hown in this book are old popular designs of various periods, some dating back to the 18th century." She offers more complicated designs and provides more detailed instructions, but cautions that her illustrations are given for guidance only. Patterns include Double Wedding Ring, Yo-Yo (also named Bed of Roses), and other traditional pieced and applique designs including Double Irish Chain and Tea Leaf.

She also introduces a new line of quilt products the company was offering: cardboard templates, die-cut pieces for blocks, stamped blocks for applique, yardage, and sacks of remnants.
