Carole Lyles Shaw is a modern quilter inspired by geometric abstraction and abstract expressionism.

Carole loves exploring the use of Ankara commercial textiles designed and sold primarily, but not exclusively, to and for the African and African diaspora markets. She uses construction techniques based on traditional quilting, surface design and artquilting.

Her work is in private and public collections including the permanent collection of the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum (Colorado).

Her work has been juried into Modern Quilt Guild Showcase--2018 International Quilt Festival; QuiltCon; and Modern Quilts: Redesigning Traditions at the Ontario California Museum of History and Art (2016).
