Virginia Gunn, the editor of Uncoverings, is professor and director of graduate studies in the School of Home Economics and Family Ecology at the University of Akron in Ohio. She has a Ph.D. in history and teaches the history of costume, the history of interior design, textile conservation, and material culture. She served on the AQSG Board of Directors from 1985 to 1994.
