Carolyn O'Bagy Davis, a fourth-generation quilter, has written six books on western women and quilting history. She earned her B.A. in anthropology from the University of Arizona. She lectures and has curated traveling exhibits on Southwestern archaeology, Hopi Indian quilting, and pioneers of the American West. The quilting traditions of Native and Anglo women of the Southwest are the subject of ongoing research.
