Kathryn "Kitty" Ledbetter is currently a professor of English at Texas State University. She is also a quilter and a scholar of nineteenth-century literature and culture. From 2004 to 2011, she edited the quarterly scholarly journal, Victorian Periodicals Review; she is currently a board member of the Research Society for Victorian Periodicals. Dr. Ledbetter is also a co-founder of the Lone Star Quilt Study Group in central Texas and is involved in a variety of capacities, including as treasurer, webmaster, and publicity chairper­son. She co-chaired the New Braunfels (Texas) Area Quilt Guild's 2012 quilt show and will chair this event in 2014. Her book, Victorian Needlework, was published in 2012 by ABC-Clio.
