Merrill, Saginaw County; Michigan; United States

A member of the Lakefield Quilting Club, Ada Miller learned quilting at home from her mother. Working at a wooden frame held down by clamps and quilting "10 minutes at a time when time was available," MIller made more than 100 quilts in her lifetime, many of which she gave away aw wedding gifts. This particular appliqued quilt was recently returned to Lakefield Quilters club by a great-granddaughter who had inherited it. The granddaughter had moved to California and wanted it placed in a museum.
