Virginia Gunn, Ph.D., the editor of Uncoverings, served on the board of AQSG from 1985 to 1994. She is a professor of clothing, tex­tiles, and interiors and the director of graduate studies for the School of Home Economics and Family Ecology at the University of Ak­ron in Ohio. She teaches courses on the history of costume, the history of interior design, and material culture studies. Her research focuses on women's history and on nineteenth-century American textiles, costume, and decorative arts.
