Signature Quilts 4: The Golden Age, 1876-1910

During the period from about 1860 to about the early 1870s, signature quilts fell from favor. However, around 1876, the signature quilt experienced a revival, and would remain a popular quiltmaking form for the next thirty years. This renewed popularity of signature quilts coincided with late Victorian fads for “art quilting,” including crazy quilting and Redwork.
