Lorre M Weidlich, Ph.D., is a folklorist who did her undergraduate work at the University of Michigan and her graduate work at the University of Texas at Austin. She has moved in the quilt world for twenty-five years as a designer, teacher, judge, lecturer, guild member and officer. Lorre's primary research interest is contemporary quilt culture. She has published in both academic journals and quilt periodicals. In her non-quilting and non-scholarly life, she is coowner of a computer software company.
