Eleanor Knowles Dugan is an avid writer, researcher, and quilter. She has written or edited thirty books on business, communications, and film topics, plus more than fifty articles about quilts and quilters for publications including Quilter's Newsletter Magazine, Quilting Quarterly, The Quilter, Women's Day, and Ladies' Patchwork Circle. She turned to quilting in the early 1970s after twenty years as a costume designer in New York and Los Angeles.
