Sharon Fulton Pinka is an independent quilt researcher. A native of Ohio, she holds a B.S.Ed. in English from Ohio University, and an M.S. in Educational Media from Bowling Green State University (Ohio). Pinka retired as a junior high English teacher/ librarian where she edited a three-volume student-produced local history book. She has a strong interest in Ohio history, antiques, woven coverlets, and quilts, and serves as a trustee for the Richland County Museum. Her article "Embroidered Summer Spreads" appeared in Blanket Statements, Issue 94.
