A newsletter from a self help group in South Africa that teaches needle art skills to unemployed and self-employed women. Classes include literacy and quiltmaking.
Objectives
1. To establish and conduct self help group, and to co-ordinate the activities of all selfhelp groups involved with sewing projects. To teach dressmaking, sewing, knitting, and garment making to unemployed, and self employed women, and to provide teachers, machines, classes, and accommodation for such work and to develop and extend these services.
2. To promote and stimulate interest in the activities of such boides amongst the residents of the area of activity.
3. To provide facitilies and amenities required in pursuance of the Council's activities.
