Brother-Sister Quilts-Leaflet No. 3

By Edith B. Crumb.

By now you should be well on the way toward the making of your Brother quilt and here is the second design. Isn't it just about the nicest drum you ever saw?

The drum may be of tan with red dots and the straps and sticks of blue with small flaps of red. If you prefer you may make these yellow and orange instead of blue and red; and tan and green may be combined. Perhaps your child has a drum and you may want to duplicate the color scheme.

Make two of these drums for the second one is to appear in the last row of the quilt in the left hand corner.

But you are not ready to put the second block together yet so put the finished blocks away in a safe place. Next week there will be a pattern for a boat. And it's a pretty one, too!

You need no directions for making these blocks for they are included in leaflet No. 1: so if you have not sent for this leaflet, be sure to do so.
