Three Men In A Tub

My! my! Did you ever see such solemn appearing men? Of course, it is no wonder, considering the great responsibility they have of sailing around in that bowl with a big spoon for an oar; but they take their boating seriously and it ought to turn out all right.

This may be worked out in an etching stitch in red, blue, green, or any plain color; or the whole block may be made in applique.

The bowl may be bright blue; the men's shirts red and white checked gingham and their hats green, their collars white and their hair brown. The spoon might be bright red.

This is also attractive in a combination of applique and solid embroidery. The collars, heads and hands may be eteches, the hair and spoon made of solid embroidery, the eyes of French knots and the rest appliqued
