The following information was supplied by the quiltmaker: Learned pattern from "readily available books, etc." How did you choose the materials used in your quilt? "I enjoy working in solids and especially like the wide color range of hand-dyed cottons." How long have you been making quilts? "14-15 years." How did you learn to quilt? "Self-taught. This is an original design incorporating a traditional pattern in the background." What was your primary reason for entering the Lands' End contest? Do you frequently enter your quilts in competition? "Personal goal - fairly frequently" Has being a winner in the Land's End contest made a difference in your life? Has it changed the way you look at your work as a quilt maker? "Not really. I had been entering contests but my quilting friends had not. I invited them to assist in the construction so they could enjoy seeing something they created in a major contest."
