The stars in this Le Moyne Star quilt twinkle delightfully with similar but different fabrics used throughout. Made about 1889 in predominantly brown, pink, and white cotton prints and solids. Good construction although a few missed points. The back has a printed piece as in a feed sack: Mfd Lockwood, etc. Maine and Guaranteed. Back label: "Florida Quilt Heritage #7-FB-28 a documented Quilt Museum of Florida History". HowAcquired: Donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum by Kathy Geise of Littleton, CO. Ownership/History: Made by M. K. Smith, possibly in Florida. LocMade: ///FL//United States
