Story about this quilt:
I carry what was poured into me by my ancestors. What I see, how I feel, and how I share with others are a reflection of what my parents taught me and what their parents taught them. Included are images of my ancestors and Adinkra symbolism representing the omnipotence of God, knowledge of heritage, strength and humility, hardiness and perserverance, hope and faith, freedom and emancipation, power of love, intelligence and ingenuity, quality control and self-examination, beauty, affluence, power and abundance. Images are a combination of sublimation and applique techniques.
