Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:
It is believed that this is the Zobel family baby quilt. Oscar Ewald Herman Zobel was born in Germany in 1847. He came to America in 1860 and settled in Ripon, WI. In 1878 he married Pauline Kahl (1852-1882), who was born in Germany and moved to Wisconsin in 1860. Herman and Pauline had eight children: Ida (1875-1882), Henry (1879-1882), Olga Zobel Hancox, Clara H. Zobel Baker, Erna I. Zobel Leutscher, Lillian A., Edgar H., and Otto J.
