Artist's Statement:

I was inspired by the wonderful beading Tom Russell adds to his quilts. The sequins he uses were a new element for me and I love the sparkle they project. This tapestry style quilt was made from a scrap of medallion fabric. I hand appliqued it to a pieced background of blocks made on my embroidery machine. Quilting is my passion; I receive so much joy from the process of creating each quilt.
