It was a matter of choosing colors and piecing the "crowns." I loved making the face, which is inspired from old map wind faces, and then adding all the beads to make the sun shine! Hands that cover the piece as a roof expresses the care and protection that each human should have to our common house. This is what we wanted to express. When we finished working on surface, to draw a picture, we tried to quilt the surface by machine.
