I would hang them over the upstairs hall balcony and we would recall where they came from. Then Bertha announced that it was their turn to show she and Amos opened a bag and draped this quilt over the railing. It's things like that, that make collecting so exciting and enjoyable. Rolling Stone 75 x 88 Made by Anna Hochstetler for her brother Christ as a wedding gift. Christ married Ina Bontrager Feb. 2, 1928 & this quilt is signed \"C.H. Feb. 2, 1928\". At the time both Anna and Christ were living five miles east of Honeyville, IN. Christ later started a metalworking shop, left the Old Order group, & moved next door to the Honeyville Metal works, now run by his son Ora. I purchased this quilt & his child's dress in 1984 from Christ. He said that they used the quilt only a few times & never washed it. See identical quilt DP 273 (71.989.01.276).
