This quilt is an original design of the maker to show the life cycle and habitat of the now endangered monarch butterfly. both photos and live drawing of butterfly and caterpillar and milkweed plants were used as models. The flowers and monarch are in a diagonal across the center of the quilt. The upper left and lower right are pieced corners with Storm at Sea blocks. A caterpillar and chrysalis are embroidered in center of quilt.
