Grape Wreath Variation, done in the favored red and green of the mid-1800s. The nine appliqued strawberry wreaths are well done and balanced. However, it appears the maker had some trouble deciding what to do with the border design in the cormers. HowAcquired: Donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum by Dorothy E. Carpenter (Mrs. Robert H.) of Lakewood, CO. Ownership/History: Maker unknown. From the Carpenter-Walker-Griffith family (family line of the grandmother of Robert H.
