Story about this quilt:

This was made in December of 2022 with half square triangles (HSTs) left over from the Woodworking Memories quilts. It was a real challenge to avoid over-thinking and trying to “match” lines or colors. Each unit is made of half square triangles (HSTs), a light and a dark triangle.

I designed and made the piece and quilted it in a grid with clear thread. The border is quilted with straight parallel lines to simulate a picture frame. There are 90 HSTs in the body of the piece. The edge is finished with a facing that has triangular pockets in the top corners to hold the wooden hanger that my husband made.
