Scorpions are not pleasant creatures, but that face does not apply to people born under the sign of Scorpio.
One sometimes wonders what happens when a person is born on the first day of any given sign. One would think that he would be influenced - if there is such thing as stars influencing one's character - by the sign which had just preceded it.
Two Influences.
It is said that the first ten days of a new sign are on what is called the cusp and are influenced by the past as well as the present. But, of course, no star or constellation of stars can make us do things in a certain way.
If we believed that, then all power of individual choice would be taken away from us. It may be true, as facts seem to show, that all people born under a certain sign have certain tendencies.
But whether the individual shall rule those tendencies or whether they shall rule the individual is quite a personal matter.
We make ourselves after all, regardless of stars and portents and astrological readings. But if one does not take it too seriously it is good fun to see what the dominant characteristics of any given sign may be.
May Be Impulsive.
The Scorpio person is said to be impulsive, enegetic, strongly passionated, but when the person is of high type there is a great store of reserve as well.
Scorpio people are good financiers, are economical, able to save many a penny through wise control.
Women who have Scorpio for a sign are apt to be naggers and scolds. But they can catch that tendency and correct it.
They may be sarcastic and must learn to be good losers. Their personality is dominant. That may be accounted for, say the astologists, by the fact that Mars, the god of war, is the planet which governs the Scorpio stars.
A Scorpio person may be a force for good or evil, but in any case he will be a force.
