Mod Squad Rebels Free Fall

Arizona; United States

As a challenge to the Special Interest Group, the Mod Squad Rebels of Palo Verde Patchers (https://patchers.scwclubs.com/), members were invited to make a four block section. Many members took the challenge and made one or more sections over the summer of 2023. In the fall, completed sections were returned to group leaders Sharon Root and Margaret Simmons. Working with several contributors, a layout using all the sections, was determined. The sashing, backing, and binding fabrics came from the stash of a now deceased long time member, Carol Daly. Margaret Simmons and Sharon Root pieced the top, Sharon Root used her long arm machine to quilt it, and Barb Green attached the binding. The intent of making the quilt was to provide a means to raise money for the Palo Verde Patchers charity efforts by selling the quilt at the 2024 quilt show boutique. If the quilt does not sell there, it will be donated for use as a charity quilt.
