Fifteen Years of Baby Quilts

I made this one in 2008 for the daughter of a best friend. I had been gifted (from Leanna Brunsell) lots of hand appliqued hearts, so I alternated them with Puss in the Corner blocks and added some pieced borders.
Made in 2009, this was for the first niece who had a baby boy. I used patterns that were distributed in the Detroit News in the 1930s called "Boys Quilt."
More of Leanna's hearts went into this 2009 quilt for a co-workers baby.
In 2010 my next door neighbor had a baby. I took the blocks to her baby shower and had them signed by the attendees.
I made this in 2011 for my daughter's best friend in high school for her first baby.
In 2011, my niece had her second baby, so I made this.
In 2012, an old friend was pregnant. I found out on short notice so repurposed an old class project for this one.
In 2013 the girl (now a woman) who used to babysit my girls was having a baby of her own. This was a top I had hanging around and thought this was the perfect use for it.
Another one for 2013, this was for a friend of my daughter.
In 2014, I teamed up with a co-worker to make this quilt for our boss' first grandchild. I did the quilting.
My niece had a daughter in 2014, so another quilt for their family.

In 2015 my nephew started his family. This quilt was made with his school colors.
On of my daughter's friends had a baby on my birthday in 2015!
My niece had her last baby in 2016.
Another friend of a daughter had a baby in 2017.
And a second quilt in 2017 for my daughter's friend.
In 2018 my nephew had a little girl.
In 2018, a baby boy for my daughter's college roommate.
In 2019 my nephew completed his family with a little boy.
In 2020, a good friend became a grandpa for the first time.
In 2021, it was finally my turn to be a grandma! My daughter loves Alpacas.
Another niece started her family in 2021.
In 2023 another niece started her family.
