I am retired and a quilter. My hubby needed a mask to attend a medical appointment. Once I made his - I thought that family members who were elderly and/or sick would probably need one as well.  I posted on our family Facebook page and within minutes had requests for 24 masks.  I initially went to Joann's and purchased elastic, made the masks and mailed them.  Once word got out - I had another request and made another 26.  Last round was for 10 additional masks which I mailed off yesterday.  So everyone in my family who needed one got one.  Interesting - I initially contacted a friend who is an administrators at a major local hospital and they would not take them. Even though I showed her pictures of health care workers with picket signs based on the lack of PPEs.  Two weeks later everyone needs and wants a mask.  I'm blessed I was able to do my small part.  I could have sold tons of masks but I could not bring myself to charge anyone for this.
