Virginia Gunn, the editor of Uncoverings, has a M.S. in clothing and textiles and a Ph.D. in history. She is a professor of Clothing, Textiles, and Interiors in the School of Family and Consumer Sciences at The University of Akron in Ohio, where she teaches courses on history of costume and fashion, the history of interior design, and material-culture studies. Her publications focus on quilts and coverlets.
