Xenia E. Cord has degrees in history and English and in folklore and American studies. She is a lecturer in folklore at Indiana University. She owns Legacy Quilts, an antique quilts brokerage, and partners with Annette Baker to produce Quilt America, an annual event in Indianapolis since 1990. Xenia considers herself a "closet quiltmaker," while her efforts as quilt historian/research/writer have appeared regularly in quilt publications.
