2004

By: Sullivan, Kathlyn

Kathlyn Sullivan, the editor of Uncoverings, is involved with many aspects of quilting. She is an AQS Certified Appraiser of Quilted Textiles and an NQA Certified Judge. Her experience as documentation coordinator for the NC Quilt Project and as partner in the retail business, Vintage Textiles and Tools, has kept her involved in quilt history. Co-author of North Carolina Quilts, she also wrote the text for Gatherings: America's Quilt Heritage. She serves on the Board of Advisors for the Gallery of Art and Design at North Carolina State University. Pamela Weeks Worthen grew up learning genealogy and family history with her grandfather. As a tenth generation resident of New Hampshire on her father's side and twelfth generation on her mother's, those interests have deepened through her research on album quilts. Pam is a juried member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen and has been quilting and teaching for thirty years. She has had quilts juried into regional and national shows and has traveled to Brazil as an arts ambassador through Partners in America. Pam is an AQS Certified Appraiser of Quilted Textiles and on the board of directors of the New Hampshire Quilt Documentation project, Phase 2. She is Executive Director of ABC Quilts, an international organization that fights AIDS and substance abuse through quilt-making, delivering quilts to babies born at-risk.
