Virginia Gunn, Ph.D., the editor of Uncoverings, served on the board of AQSG from 1985 to 1994. She is a professor of clothing, textiles, and interiors and the director of graduate studies for the School of Home Economics and Family Ecology at the University of Akron in Ohio. She teaches courses on the history of costume, the history of interior design, and material culture studies. Her research focuses on women's history and on nineteenth-century American textiles, costume, and decorative arts.
