Sara Reimer Farley is an independent researcher/scholar with a M.A. in English. She has taught composition and English as a Second Language to both high school and college students. Raised in a Mennonite community, Sara's current research focuses on quilters in Halstead, Kansas, and the influence of church and social history on their work. She assisted with the Kansas Quilt Project and wrote the chapter on "The Developing Mennonite Quilting Tradition" in Kansas Quilts and Quilters. Nancy Hornback earned a B.A. in Sociology from the University of San Diego and a M.A. in Liberal Studies from Wichita State University. For her master's project she served as curator and wrote the catalog for the exhibit Quilts in Red and Green. Nancy was co-founder, board member, and quilt discovery day coordinator of the Kansas Quilt Project and authored a chapter for Kansas Quilts and Quilters. She has served on the board of the American Quilt Study Group since 1992.
