Thelma W. Pickett is a native of Pheba, Mississippi, and is a third generation quilter. She made her first quilt top at the early age of 8. She has been involved with quilting for many years. The idea of a quilt exhibit came to her after reading different literature on quilting. She found that there was little or no information printed on black quilters.
There will be upwards of seventy or more quilts on display in this exhibit.
