HATTYE BELLE EASLEY
Native of Guthrie, Oklahoma. Well versed in the interpretation of the Negro spiritual and an able soprano soloist is Miss Easley. Conductor of the internationally famed Wings Over Jordan Choral Ensemble, famous for its unique presentations of the Negro spiritual on radio and concert stage. Miss Easley served as director for the group during its 10 months tour of the theatres of war.
She is currently featured in the following numbers:

"In The River of Jordan"
"When I've Done My Best"
"He'll Understand and Say Well Done"
REV. GLENN T. SETTLE
Originator of "Wings Over Jordan" was born in a log cabin at Reidsvill, North Carolina, and received his early education in Pennsylvania. His family settled in Uniontown, Penn., where he received his high school training, and later, he was married to Miss Mary Elizabeth Carter. With his young wife he went to Cleveland, in 1917, and worked as a common laborer, until called to the ministery and began to organize his choir and his forces, from whence came the world renowned "Wings Over Jordan."

The director of Community Chorus, Miss Clara Mae Clayborne, is responsible for the coming of this noted group to Ottawa. She thought it would be a great asset to the community to have the opportunity of seeing this Choral group in person, so she proceeded to inspire her local group of singers to sponsor such a program and they readily made plans. Miss Clayborne is an untireing, faithful, conscientious, efficient worker for anything thats a benefit to the community which she serves in the capacity as leader.
