$100 in Cash Prizes!
Hudson's "Little Women"
Sampler Contest
Prizes to be awarded by the Fox Theatre, in connection with the showing of "Little Women"
Starring Katharine Hepburn
Everyone Eligible
Because of the increase interest in the making of samplers, and inspired by the forthcoming picturization of Louisa May Alcott's immortal "Little Women," coming to the Fox Theatre soon, we have arranged an unique contest in sampler making. And because the making of samplers is really so simple and easy - and samplers so sure of a place in today's vogue for Early American furnishings - we predict that hundreds of women will want to enter this contest.

Rules for Entrants
All you have to do to enter the contest is to procure in Hudson's Art Needlework department one ready-stamped sampler (which comes complete with necessary floss at 65c). Seven styles are available for choice. Then fill out an entry blank and go to work on your design.
All samplers must be completed not later than November 26. They will be judged on a basis of general appearance, quality of workmanship and color harmony.

Four Prizes Will Be Awarded
$50 first prize, $25 second prize to adult contest winners; $15 first prize, $10 second prize to "Little Women" winners under 16 years of age. Anyone is eligible to compete.
The prizes will be awarded by the Fox Theatre, in connection with the filming of "Little Women" - after which the prize winning samplers will be on display at the Fox Theater.

In order that you have adequate time in which to complete your sampler, we suggest that you begin on it as early as possible.

See our display of samplers and accessories in the Art Needlework Shop on the Third Floor.
