Three years ago when Mr. and Mrs. Vernon F. Fishtahler were ready to furnish a home they bought a house at 18411 Strathmoor avenue and decided to make it as comfortable as possible until such a time as it would be favorable to build.

So charming and comfortable have they made it that the building problem is not a toublesome one for to stay on at the present address would be very pleasant and their handling of the housing situation is one which could be done profitable by others who do not wish to wait to build before furnishing.

The Fishtahler's house is a small one, but mirror glass has been used floor and ceiling length each side and above the mantel to create the effect of spaciousness and the choice of colors and furnishings has been with a view to keeping the entire scheme a restful one.

The layout of this one-floor house includes living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, study and bath.

The floor covering of the living room is carved carpeting in a dusty rose tint and the walls and ceiling are finished in a soft rose. Chartreuse ground flowered faille is used for the floor length draperies that hang from painted wood cornices (blue centers with white) ..... (clipping cut-off)
