A thank you for sending quilt patterns.

Dear Mrs. Gasperik – Thank you so very much for these lovely quilt patterns. I don’t know just when I’ll be ambitious enough to start one. If you were near me, I’d pay you for the tedious part of drawing or color planning + I would love the fun part of the quilting part.

I’m sorry, I didn’t pay more attention to your other quilts, but those (2) just took my eye + I couldn’t concentrate on others much.

Since my time was a bit limited that day I don’t recall the yellow table cloth. What size is it? Do you make any for customers? I suppose you always use linen. Do you have any friends that make attractive wool braided rugs? The elderly lady that made so many for my daughter + I passed away (3) years ago and I don’t find any one that makes them anymore.

I waited to ans. your letter till our Women’s Club had this program. She was very interesting. Only had 2 or 3 quilts all the rest were quilt tops + quilt blocks. Some of our club members brought some and to help make a nice display, but nothing in comparison with yours.

This little gift is for the patterns + mailing. If your quilts were to be displayed any other place as near as Springfield, I surely would make an effort to come see them.

Most Sincerely,
Mrs. Herbert Garling
