Readers are invited to write in this department as often as they wish, but to limit each letter to three questions. State your questions clearly, write only on one side of each paper, enclosing a self-address, stamped envelope and will be published for the benefit of all homemakers, but names and addresses will not be made public.

Color for every phase of home decoration has been proclaimed victorious and is triumphant throughout the land. But it is used to every last degree.

Kitchen, bedroom, nursery, and playroom may have come forth in fresh new tones, but has the bedroom been given its share of brightness and color?

Linens, blankets comfortable and covers are now available in such a wide range of color that the discriminating hostess can plan a separate color scheme for every bedroom and guest room.

Apricot and gold present a harmonious scheme for a bed ensemble. White percale sheets and pillow cases appliqued with triangles of peach, gold and satin comfortable in tones that shade from apricot to gold make up the attractive ensemble pictured in the sketch shown above.

Green and orchid suggest another happy color scheme. Green flowers appliqued upon orchid cotton sheets and cases, a reversible blanket which utilizes both these colors and is bound with one of them, an orchid satin quilt with cut corners which follow the chrysanthemum motif of the quilting make a smart outfit for the guest room.

White percale sheets are available for the housewife who still clings to her white linens. These are to be had plain, appliqued monogrammed and embroidered. Woven borders in color are also offered on white percale bed linens. The latter have designs in pink, green, blue, orchid, or maize.

Red for Kitchen
I would appreciate very much if you would help me with my kitchen and breakfast nook.
The kitchen and nook both have a floor covering of black and grey in large block inlaid linoleum. Both are painted gray half way and then white including ceilings, doors, window frames and cupboard.

There are two windows in the kitchen facing west and one window in the nook facing south. What kind of curtains should I have for both rooms? What color should I paint the furniture for nook and kitchen? Mrs. J.E.B
With the black, gray, and white in your kitchen scheme, you need something more gay to brighten the scheme.

Cherry red would be a very good...
